  1. Sr. Paid Search Specialist

    Our lively DC-based digital advertising agency is looking for a paid search specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll work across client accounts to plan, implement, track and optimize paid search campaigns. This role will report to the VP of Search.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Manage ROAS/ROI-driven campaigns on Google and Bing (experience with other platforms a plus), including:
      • ad copywriting
      • campaign & ad group building
      • keyword and automated bidding strategies
      • regular optimization and reporting
    • Oversee projects across multiple client teams and manage team members working on PPC/paid search projects
    • Help to train and build additional paid search capacity at the agency
    • Interface directly with clients

    The following qualifications are strongly preferred:

    • 3+ years experience in Google Ads and Bing,
    • Experience setting up Google Ads conversion events, pixels and/or robust Google Analytics integrations. Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and/or SearchAds360 a plus
    • Experience owning/managing sizeable ad budgets (e.g. >$50k/mo+)
    • 1+ years of people management experience (e.g. training more junior ad buyers, regular meeting and management of a direct report, etc.)
    • Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Google AdWords and/or Google Analytics certifications
    • Data analysis experience (Excel PivotTables, statistical/regression analysis experience, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc)

    Location

    This position is remote within Continental United States, or offers in-office or partial week schedules in Washington, DC (a small number of location exclusions apply)

    Compensation

    Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills. Our compensation assumption (base + annual bonus) is $80k-$100k.

  2. Data Analytics Lead | Strategic Analytics Lead | Data Architect

    Our lively DC-based digital advertising agency is looking for a data analytics professional to join our team. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with our strategists, ad buyers, and developers, and directly with our clients’ technical teams.

    About the role

    Every client’s tech stack is different, especially among C+K’s highly diverse client base, which ranges from nonprofits to party committees to classic ecommerce and retail. In this role, you will help assess, advise and enact improvements to our clients’ marketing tech stack (e.g. their analytics, CRM, ESP, multi-touch attribution system, etc.), as well as the C+K’s team ad buying platforms and workflows (e.g. our DSPs, Facebook, Google Ads, etc.), especially in the areas of ad performance reporting, dashboarding, and reporting automation. In this role, you’ll need to understand the business objectives of the strategy team, then use your technical skills to deliver solutions that either 1) save time in reporting workflows, 2) improve accuracy, 3) provide more data-rich/actionable reports for optimizing ad campaigns, or 4) prepare insightful client-facing dashboards/visualizations (or in some cases, if the stars align, all four in one project).

    What we’re looking for (the full list isn’t required, but the more the better!)

    Prerequisites: 3+ years of experience in a role similar to the one described above, or focused on some or all of the following:

    • Marketing Work-Product Focus: A clear understanding of direct-response ad campaigns and marketing, how they’re measured, what systems are used, the data these campaigns produce, and how that data is used is a must. Ideally this experience is focused on empowering ad buyers and analysts focused on acquisition and optimization of results (e.g. email list growth, ecommerce, fundraising, app install campaigns, etc.).
    • Tools used: In this role, data comes from the tech needed to run successful paid media campaigns, including .com/app analytics, CRMs and ad platform data such as the paid search, paid social, and programmatic display and video buying platforms. From there, experience with setting up data-flow integrations, automation, dashboarding and reporting using solutions such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Cloud / Google Big Query, and other connectors and API solutions (Supermetrics, Stitch, DBT, Fracture, etc.) is a must, and the primary focus of this role.
    • Work Style & Tech Stack Experience: In this role it’s critical to have a high level of proactiveness and self-starting in unpacking (usually less-than-ideal) client analytics/CRM/martech stacks (especially SalesForce, EveryAction/ActionKit), and find a way to use your skills to add value. Often this will mean working on parallel tracks to learn the tech stack and first apply some short-term band-aids, while also researching and recommending what long-term tech changes should be made to achieve a more advanced/powerful tech/ad data stack.
    • Technical Skills: Data analysis skills in Excel or Google Sheets are an important foundation (since many of our team’s analyses start here, and most clients think in these terms). Experience setting up and improving the above mentioned ad channel/marketing/reporting tech is a must. Comfort working with Git and the command line, and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python are also key. Experience with statistical methods (significance testing, regression analysis, etc), data warehousing (Redshift, AWS Athena, Databricks and Snowflake), or data pipeline frameworks (Airflow and abt) are nice to have, and if you’re keen but haven’t had the opportunity to learn, we can give opportunities and space to learn more!

    Compensation

    Compensation commensurate with experience and skills. Our compensation assumption (base + annual bonus) is $95k-$135k.

  3. Web Developer

    Our lively DC-based digital advertising agency is looking for someone to join our Web Development team. Working with our Design and Strategy teams, you will help serve clients who range from progressive organizations to brick-and-mortar retail companies.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Analyze, code, and implement new and/or modified content functionality for existing websites.
    • Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting problems related to websites and their various components.
    • Work with strategists, designers, and other developers to code, and maintain high-quality user-centric web interfaces that meet business objectives as well as usability and accessibility best practices.
    • Support and maintain efficient and organized file structure and documentation.
